Sponsorship-aware recruitment
Sponsorship-aware recruitment is a hiring approach that accounts for whether a candidate may require employer sponsorship from the start of the process, rather than as an afterthought at the offer stage.
In a standard recruitment process, the question of whether a candidate needs sponsorship is often raised late — sometimes only after a preferred candidate has been selected. Sponsorship-aware recruitment builds this question in from the role brief. The role is assessed for eligibility. Candidates on the shortlist are flagged with their right-to-work status and any sponsorship requirement. The employer knows from the outset whether legal route coordination may be needed.
