In one sentence

Hirenza shortlisting produces a curated list of matched candidates with experience notes, right-to-work status, and sponsorship flags for the employer to review.

Quick answers

  • The shortlist is sent after the talent search is complete — typically within 14 days of the role brief being confirmed
  • Each candidate on the shortlist includes experience summary, location, right-to-work status, and any sponsorship flag
  • Employers review the shortlist and select candidates for interview
  • Hirenza coordinates interview scheduling after shortlist confirmation
  • Employers are not obligated to hire from the shortlist — they can request further candidates if needed

What the shortlist contains

A Hirenza shortlist typically includes four to eight candidates matched to the role brief. Each candidate entry includes name and candidate reference, years of experience and primary location, right-to-work status, a brief experience summary relevant to the role, and any SPONS flag if sponsorship applies.

The 14-day shortlist target

Hirenza targets delivery of an initial shortlist within 14 days of the role brief being confirmed and the readiness review being completed. This timeline depends on the specificity of the role and the availability of matched candidates.

Reviewing the shortlist

Employers receive the shortlist and review candidates against the role requirements. If you want to progress a candidate, Hirenza coordinates the next step — typically a first interview.

If you want to see additional candidates, Hirenza can run a further search pass.

What happens after the shortlist

After the employer selects candidates for interview, Hirenza coordinates first interview scheduling, candidate briefing and preparation, structured feedback collection, and offer coordination. Where a selected candidate requires sponsorship, legal route coordination with Harveys Legal begins at this stage.
